Assem M. Saleh has been appointed as Vice President of Industrial Security at Petro Rabigh, effective October 1, 2025.
With more than two decades of experience in the oil and chemical industry, Assem brings extensive expertise in health, safety, fire protection, and security management. His career began in 2004 following the completion of a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, USA.
Assem started his professional journey as a Fire Protection Engineer at Saudi Aramco before joining Petro Rabigh in 2008 as a Safety Engineer. His contributions to both Phase I and Phase II of the Petro Rabigh project have been instrumental to the company’s operational success. Over the years, he has held a variety of technical and leadership roles across the Safety, Fire Protection, and Security Departments, culminating in his appointment as Safety Department Manager in 2021.
A registered Consultant Engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers, Assem also holds certification as a Functional Safety Engineer. He actively supports industry advancement through his role as a member of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Responsible Care Committee.
