Assem M. Saleh has been appointed as an Acting Vice President of Industrial Security at Petro Rabigh, effective November 2023. With nearly 19 years of experience in the oil & chemical industry, Assem brings a wealth of knowledge in health, safety, fire protection, and security management.

He embarked on his professional journey in 2004 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, USA. Assem began his career as a fire protection engineer at Saudi Aramco, joining the Petro Rabigh team in 2008 as a safety engineer. His involvement in both phase I & phase II projects at Petro Rabigh has been pivotal. Throughout his tenure, Assem has embraced diverse technical and managerial roles within the Safety, Fire Protection, and Security Departments, leading to his notable appointment as Safety Department Manager in 2021.

Assem is recognized as a registered Consultant Engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers. His expertise is further solidified by his certification as a Functional Safety Engineer. Additionally, Assem actively contributes to the industry's best practices as a member of the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA) Responsible Care Committee.
